  • a mature ovum (egg)
  • healthy sperm – to fertilize the egg
  • fertile mucus – to keep the sperm alive until they reach the egg
  • healthy fallopian tubes – for the sperm to travel along to the egg and the fertilized egg to travel down to the uterus (womb)
  • healthy endometrium – lining of the womb where the baby implants and grows
  • loving relationship between mother and father (psychological aspect)
